Limousine businesses don’t sell rides, they sell experiences. A white stretch limousine for a wedding, a vintage Rolls-Royce for a prom night, a corporate black car for a VIP client. Pricing is by the hour or by the package, never by the kilometre. RideCab’s tiered hourly pricing engine is built for exactly this: fixed packages (4 hours, 6 hours, full day) displayed to the customer as clean options, with the driver staying on call for the entire booked duration.

This page covers RideCab configured for limousine service: tiered hourly pricing packages, premium vehicle catalog, event booking fields (wedding, prom, corporate), high-value payment and deposits, and the PDF invoicing a premium clientele expects.

Tiered hourly pricing for limo packages

The tiered hourly pricing model in RideCab lets you define packages by the number of hours. The rider selects how many hours they want from a dropdown. 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours, full day. And the booking form shows the fixed package price for that selection. Distance is irrelevant. The driver stays with they for the booked duration.

You configure the packages in the vehicle settings. Each tier has a “from” value (minimum hours), a “to” value (maximum hours in this tier), and a price. You can also add an hourly add-on rate for customers who want to extend beyond their package. “4-hour package plus extra hours at £80/hour”. The fare calculator handles all of this automatically.

Example limo package configuration

4-hour wedding package — £650
6-hour event package — £850
Full-day hire (10 hours) — £1,200
Additional hours — £95/hour

Premium vehicle catalog

Each vehicle in RideCab has its own page in the customer-facing booking form. A photo, name, description, passenger capacity, and luggage capacity. For a limousine service, this is where you showcase the car. A full-page image of the white stretch limo, the specs (8 passengers, champagne service included), and the price packages.

You can create a separate booking form per vehicle if you want dedicated landing pages, a “Book the White Stretch” form, a “Book the Rolls-Royce” form, a “Book the Black Mercedes” form. Each form shows only one vehicle and its specific packages. This works well for SEO and for customers who know exactly which car they want. The taxi booking form for WordPress supports unlimited independent forms. Not always obvious.

Event-specific booking fields

Limo bookings often need information that standard taxi bookings don’t. The wedding car needs to know the ceremony venue and the reception venue. The prom car needs to know the school and the after-party location. The corporate hire needs the client’s hotel and the meeting venue.

RideCab’s booking form includes a special requests textarea for this additional information. Label it “Event details”, “Wedding venues”, or “Special instructions” depending on your use case. The driver sees this field prominently on their booking detail page. For more complex requirements, the custom fields in the form settings allow you to add structured fields beyond the text area.

Payment and deposits for high-value bookings

Limo bookings are high-value and often far in advance. A full-day hire at £1,200 booked three months ahead needs a deposit structure, not a single full payment at booking time. WooCommerce Deposits (a free plugin) integrates with RideCab’s WooCommerce-native architecture to handle partial payment at booking and the balance before the event.

The standard payment flow: customer books online, pays 30% deposit via Stripe or PayPal, receives confirmation with balance due date, pays the balance 7 days before the event, the driver is confirmed. All of this happens through the standard WooCommerce checkout flow with no custom development.

Premium invoicing for premium clientele

A limo customer paying £1,200 for a full-day hire expects a proper invoice. RideCab’s PDF invoices are designed for exactly this. Choose from four templates, Classic, Modern, Minimal, or Corporate, and configure your business details: logo, company name, address, VAT number, and bank details. The invoice shows the full booking breakdown, the vehicle, the event date, the hours booked, and the total.

For corporate limo clients, the invoice is essential for expense reporting. RideCab generates and emails it automatically on booking completion. Clients can re-download from their WooCommerce account at any time. For the full invoicing and reservation feature set, see the online taxi reservation system guide.

Frequently asked questions

Can I set minimum booking hours for limo packages?

Yes. The smallest tier in your tiered hourly configuration is the minimum booking. If you don’t offer anything under 4 hours, the 4-hour package is the lowest option the customer can select.

Can I have a deposit requirement on limo bookings?

Yes via WooCommerce Deposits plugin, which integrates with RideCab’s WooCommerce-native architecture. Set a percentage deposit at booking and collect the balance before the event.

Can I create separate booking forms for each vehicle?

Yes. RideCab supports multiple independent booking forms. Create one form per vehicle for dedicated landing pages. One for the stretch limo, one for the Rolls-Royce, one for the black car.

Does the booking form support event-specific fields?

Yes. Enable the special requests field and label it ‘Wedding details’, ‘Event information’, or any label that fits your business. The driver sees it on the booking detail page.

What invoice templates are available?

Four: Classic, Modern, Minimal, and Corporate. All include your logo, business details, booking summary, fare breakdown, and VAT. Sent automatically on booking completion.

Can customers add extra hours beyond their package?

Yes. Configure an hourly add-on rate in the vehicle settings. The customer can select their base package and then add extra hours at the per-hour rate. The total calculates automatically.
